Shhh!

The eternal God, who is the longing of each soul created in his image, desires to arrive in our lives as our giftedness and joy. My homily for this weekend is posted here.

hi Fr. C!
"let us begin again, for the first time, to wait for the God who wants to speak the Word of His Own Self, from within each one of us." what an inspirational homily, Fr. C, for the first Sunday of Advent! the last line at tne end of your homily (which i quoted above) really gives us all something to think about and pray about. Advent is a beginning and can be a fresh start for all of us. this is where slowing down, listening and looking within will really allow God to come to us with His Peace and healing for our souls. so, we
have to make the time for God to speak to us through significant time in prayer, freqent participation in the Eucharist and receiving Him in Holy Communion. yes, Advent is a time of preparing for Christmas, but we should try not to get caught up in the secular preparations of Christmas. but, instead, really focus on the spiritual meaning of Christmas. God longs to come to us and He longs to speak His Word through us to the world all around us - to the poor; the lonely; those who we live; work & pray with-in the little, everyday moments of our lives. happy Avent! PEACE!
