Get Up and Eat

The Eucharist is the very life of God making a home in our lives. Strengthened by the bread from heaven, may we walk together toward the Kingdom of God. Click here for my homily for this weekend.

hi Fr. C!
thanks for sharing your homily for this weekend. i missed it last weekend. it's an excellent homily for this weekend! as i reflect on the readings and your great homily, i feel that one of the most difficult things for me is challenging the lapsed Catholics in our lives. i'm sure that many, if not all of us, have those lapsed Catholics right in our own families. these are the most difficult to reach. i often wonder and pray about how we can approach these lapsed Catholics in a gentle and effective way. it's not easy and you're right, we can't give up. receiving Jesus frequently (even daily, if possible) in the Most Holy Eucharist is the way we will stay strengthened and nourished for our life journey. i also feel that we have to have been through difficulties and challenges and sufferings ourselves in order to lead others out of it. the difficulties, challenges and sufferings of life have been growing and learning experiences for me and have taught me how to let go of fear and anxiety and to totally trust God in all circumstances. but, we can't do it alone. we (Christians)need each other - and we need to continue to "Get up and eat," every day - it's a life long journey that can be a happy, blessed and peaceful one if we put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus and are open to God's Will. PEACE! ~tara t~
