Prayer Request

In you charity, and especially in light of the hypothetical I used in yesterday's post, please offer a prayer for the young woman who jumped from the Tappan Zee Bridge last night, and for the consolation of her family.

Of course, Brother Charles. And for you!

Hmmmm...I can't remember whether I've commented here before or not, but I read frequently. Apparently not all the time, as your example yesterday might have given me pause to comment. Having lost a son to suicide two summers ago, I do not believe that a body falling to its death is too heavy for God to lift. (I am hoping that I misunderstood your example.)

At any rate, my prayers are with the family of the woman who has died in such a horrific way. As one of my friends said immediately to me, I hope that she jumped into the arms of her loving Creator.

Thank you, Mike and Robin, for the knowledge of your prayers.

Of course, Robin, my example was meant to relate something about God's relationship to the physical world. I have no doubt that He holds your son in his merciful and tender care.

How sad. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord...
