At the moment you utt..."Saved from what?" At the moment you uttered those words, your future as a theologian was in the works. Little did you know you were a fledgling apologist learning your craft. lol Anyway, that's a spin one could put on the experience.<br /><br />Reminds me of events that should have signaled a path to me...but I recognized the sign only in retrospect. <br /><br />I was attending a Protestant seminary and not finding the experience helpful. The seminary was very active in social causes (which was okay) but had accepted pop psychology in place of spirituality and scripture. <br /><br />But I worked the night shift at a Catholic hospital. The nights were filled with intense spiritual lessons...there was death and dying and all manner of great struggle and revelation. My nights had more to do with theology than my days. <br /><br />In retrospect I missed the signal leading me toward Catholicism, and instead spent years away from the faith altogether... fun to go back and look at all the signs along the road that were overlooked.Greghttp://tamingthewolf.comnoreply@blogger.com
