I have come to know two of them over the past few years and am thrilled to know that they have reached the goal for which they were so earnestly striving. Now there are new goals for them to set, primarily, being a good and holy priest. I am only sorry that I could not be present for the Ordination since I cannot get to Yonkers from here. It is too long and too difficult a trip for my increasingly disabled body. I am sorry to hear that you have had some health issues. I hope that they have been successfully resolved. Continue to keep striving, continue to "keep on keepin' on" Father. You are so needed in a world that has gone crazy. Our celebrant yesterday preached about the hope that the Gospel engenders. He spoke of one of the Brothers who gets frustrated when he sees a blade of grass spring up through a newly paved section of the road at the Shrine. Imagine a blade of grass coming through asphalt. Father kept referring to that blade of grass seeing it also a sign of hope. I don't think that I will look at a blade of grass in the same old way again. Yes, there is hope, as in that mustard seed which became a huge plant embracing all kinds of birds. As in that blade of grass, which looks so frail, but pushes through the asphalt. Yes, there is hope, because the Lord is with us and within us. Yes, Father, "keep on keepin' on."JudyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05243258111887405500noreply@blogger.com
