Sounds like you hit a few... <br /><br />Over a short period, I have had my share of "stumbling about in the dark" moments as I attempted to figure out protocol and expectations. (All while I wrestle with my ego and arrogance.)<br /><br />I have noticed, during that period, a slight but perceptible tension between laity and priesthood. And it varies immensely from priest to priest. <br /><br />I wonder how often we transplant our experience with one priest onto another and out of that we create misunderstanding / misapprehension. <br /><br />You are fortunate to be so loved by the parish and perhaps even by those whose expectations clashed with reality.
