You know, I always thought that one...Great homily. You know, I always thought that one of the most effective spiritual approaches is to take the life and work of St. Francis and combine it with the intellectual grounding found in St. Thomas Aquinas. Francis shows the way to live as a Christian, while Thomas shows us the way to think as a Christian. That's what I try to (alas, mostly unsuccessfully) do...<br /><br />Glad to hear you heard a great sermon and were able to pass on such encouragement to a young deacon on his way towards the priesthood.
