This is one of those occasions. When my daughter was about five years old she asked me, "Mommy, what is abortion?" I was reluctant to answer but knew I had to if I wanted her to trust me and continue to come to me with her questions. I put it as simply a I could, saying "abortion is when they kill a baby while it's still inside its mother." Her response awed me, "Why don't they just wait till the baby comes out and then kill it?" I answered, "Because that would be murder." To me, the honest words and pure logic of my little daughter sums up the subject and the predicate of abortion perfectly.
