Iraq

I just watched the president's speech, and I think Mr. Bush would do well to review the definition of insanity they use in the recovery community: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

  3. Amen.

Part of me wants to know where this "surge" is supposed to come from: the worn out army we have already stressed to the max? Mars? But then again, part of me is really interested in the thought process that leads to the thought, "Why yes, I AM Napoleon, and THIS Time, I'll get it right!"

  4. Peace! My whole question is what is the victory that we seek. And how should this whole thing be framed in a Christian sense? Anyway, God walks with us despite our foolishness; I just pray we walk with Him. God bless you in 2007. (I like the reflection on despair, too).

Faithful, or even just thoughtful criticisms are always welcome. Uninformed rudeness to other posters or to the Lord and His Church is not.

I also reserve the right to reject comments promoting things like private revelations and fringe points of view, if it seems to me like they are being presented in a misleading way.

If you raise a disagreement with something I say but I do not respond, please do not feel slighted or insulted, or imagine that this automatically means I disagree or agree with you. It's just that I don't find the comment box to be a constructive medium for certain forms of debate.
