The Generous Sower

The grace of God is given generously to all, but it's up to us to notice, receive, and appreciate it. My homily for this weekend is posted here.

  1. your homily was great, Fr. C! thank you, again, for the inspiration! one thing that i learned from this week's readings and your homily is that God needs us to be strong and really rooted in our faith in order to be effective in witnessing to and evangelizing others. a friend lent me the movie on St. Francis of Assisi and i watched it yesterday afternoon. it was almost four hours, but that's ok - i try to keep sundays as God's day and even try to either read or watch things that are spiritual. it was good to be reminded of what St. Francis went through and how human he and his followers were. none of us are perfect, but we need to keep trying and should not give up. i try to stay away from all the "worldly" stuff on sundays. so, getting back on track in regard to the readings and your homily, we need to always keep praying and learning so that we can grow strong in our faith and if we do this, we will have very strong roots.
    PEACE!

Faithful, or even just thoughtful criticisms are always welcome. Uninformed rudeness to other posters or to the Lord and His Church is not.

I also reserve the right to reject comments promoting things like private revelations and fringe points of view, if it seems to me like they are being presented in a misleading way.

If you raise a disagreement with something I say but I do not respond, please do not feel slighted or insulted, or imagine that this automatically means I disagree or agree with you. It's just that I don't find the comment box to be a constructive medium for certain forms of debate.
