The Blessed Trinity

Sacred Scripture is the living Word of God, so if God is a Trinity, we can expect Scripture to reveal what we mean by this. My homily for this weekend is posted here.

  1. nice homily, Fr. C! and, happy feast day of the Holy Trinity! i agree that people tend to give up very easily when it comes to appreciating and understanding the Holy Trinity. we can have an appreciation and a little understanding. it's not totally difficult to understand the Holy Trinity. this feast day of the Holy Trinity is really a very beautiful and simple feast day because it's the one day of the church year that we celebrate God. we honor God alone. throughout the church year, we celebrate many feasts for Jesus and Mary, the saints, and also celebrate special feasts like the Nativity and the Resurrection. but, today, the Holy Trinity is a feast to celebrate God - the One who made all of our feast days throughout the year possible. so, we can reflect on ways we can honor God. prayer, serving in various ways and almsgiving are all good ways to honor God, but i feel that the best way is to simply LOVE God as He loves us. PEACE! ~tara t~
p.s. i never heard of the old"5,4,3,2,1 mnemonic" for remembering trinitarian doctrine. thanks for sharing that! :)

Faithful, or even just thoughtful criticisms are always welcome. Uninformed rudeness to other posters or to the Lord and His Church is not.

I also reserve the right to reject comments promoting things like private revelations and fringe points of view, if it seems to me like they are being presented in a misleading way.

If you raise a disagreement with something I say but I do not respond, please do not feel slighted or insulted, or imagine that this automatically means I disagree or agree with you. It's just that I don't find the comment box to be a constructive medium for certain forms of debate.
