The Lamb Who Is The Shepherd

It is precisely in being the Lamb of God that Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. Follow this link for my homily for Good Shepherd Sunday.

Pardon my ignorance, Father, but a priest once told me to leave all my pain and suffering at the foot of Christ on the cross. How exactly does one do that? I can understand fervent prayers of supplication, but I'm not exactly sure how to "leave" it there.

I think such phrases are meant to describe interior acts and intentions in our prayer. It more or less only means to form the intention in our will and let the Holy Spirit take care of the rest. I hope this helps!

Faithful, or even just thoughtful criticisms are always welcome. Uninformed rudeness to other posters or to the Lord and His Church is not.

I also reserve the right to reject comments promoting things like private revelations and fringe points of view, if it seems to me like they are being presented in a misleading way.

If you raise a disagreement with something I say but I do not respond, please do not feel slighted or insulted, or imagine that this automatically means I disagree or agree with you. It's just that I don't find the comment box to be a constructive medium for certain forms of debate.
