A Kludge for Passiontide
"In the dioceses of the United States, crosses in the church may be covered from the conclusion of the Mass for the Saturday of the fourth week of Lent until the end of the Celebration of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday."

Faithful, or even just thoughtful criticisms are always welcome. Uninformed rudeness to other posters or to the Lord and His Church is not.

ReplyDeleteI think I've got you beat. I didn't have any purple fabric, so I used two (clean) bandanas that I wore while doing mission work in Appalachia to cover my statues and religious images.

ReplyDeleteI have always found it odd that the Church, and now, some of its members cover the crucifix during Passiontide, since it is on the passion and death of the Lord that we focus during this time. I never realized that you had a reactionary spirit.
