One of the brothers was putting hot pepper powder in his pasta e fagioli. Another brother, noticing, said,
"I can see that you are a spiritual man."
"What do you mean?" asked the first brother, looking a little concerned, perhaps--like Mary--wondering what this greeting might mean.
"They say that eating spicy food stirs up the passions in the body, so I can see that you seek a fiercer spiritual combat as a greater sacrifice to offer to the Lord."

Faithful, or even just thoughtful criticisms are always welcome. Uninformed rudeness to other posters or to the Lord and His Church is not.
I also reserve the right to reject comments promoting things like private revelations and fringe points of view, if it seems to me like they are being presented in a misleading way.
