Destination and Destiny

The movement toward the cosmic kingship of Christ, first explicitly revealed in his Resurrection, is the true history of the world. Let's get with the program. My homily for this weekend is posted here.

hi Fr. C!
it was great that you had the 5:00 pm Mass earlier this evening. even though i read your homily earlier in the afternoon, it's always a blessing to hear it when you give it in person. i agree with how you describe "the cosmic kingship of Christ" not as an "end," but 'end' "in the sense of purpose." for us, as followers of Christ, we all need to have that "sense of purpose" in responding to the needs of the lost, the sick, the injured, etc... in regard to those who are "sleek & strong" being destroyed in the reading
from Ezekial 34: 11-12, 15-17, i think it means that if we, who are strong and have things to share such as our time, talent & other resources that we keep to ourselves, then we are not fulfilling the Will of God and that is what will destroy us. everything we have comes from God and we need to share it for the building up of His kingdom. also, as from this weekend's Gospel of Matthew 25:31-46, there are so many ways to do something for the "least of our brothers," such as a simple word of encouragement, a smile and just having respect for others. just as you end your homily, Fr. C, we all should "just join in." PEACE!
