And You Thought She Was In Heaven

Today I went into one of the monastery storerooms to look for a new toothbrush. Imagine my surprise when I saw this:




It's really amazing what you can find lying around an old religious house!

That's funny! When I was a child, my mom was part of a group of women who cleaned the church on Friday. As a bored youngster, I wandered into the basement and found a cabinet filled with statues...nativities, and every saint under the sun. Imagine my mom's horror when she found me in this dusty basement using the statues as action figures, with saints battling saints...
